This section covers anything about disconnecting, changing, swapping, switching, replacing, or updating a connected social account (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter/X, Pinterest, Twitch). To change which account is connected — e.g. swap to a different Instagram or Facebook page — there is no in-place "change" button on the platform; the flow is disconnect the current account first, then connect the new one. The steps below cover both pure disconnect and disconnect-and-replace. This is the right section for "how do I change my Instagram?", "how do I change my Facebook?", "how do I switch my TikTok account?", and similar — to change a social account you disconnect the old one first and then connect the new one. The steps below apply to all platforms uniformly.
You must remove the connection in two places. The order matters — start with onbrand.
On onbrand:
- Log in and go to Settings → Social Media
- Find the platform (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
- Click the "Disconnect" button to the right of the connected account
- Refresh the page
If you don't see a Disconnect button:
- The account may already be disconnected on onbrand's side. Check the social platform side instead.
- Try logging out and back in, or hard-refreshing (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R).
On the social platform:
- Facebook: facebook.com → Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → find "onbrand" → Remove.
- Instagram: instagram.com → Settings → Apps and websites → find "onbrand" → Remove. (Instagram connects via Facebook in many cases — check Facebook's Apps list too.)
- TikTok: tiktok.com → Settings → Manage account → Apps → find "onbrand" → Remove.
- YouTube / Google: myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps → find "onbrand" → Remove access.
Once removed from both, refresh onbrand and reconnect the correct account.
